New Chapter

We have now entered a New Chapter in our state's history and it is incumbent upon all of us to make this next four years a time of solutions and results.  The people of North Carolina are watching and they are expecting the education of our children to improve.

As challenging as it may be, problems are not insurmountable if we keep lines of communication open with other state leaders and work together for the common good of the people of North Carolina.

Bring Together

The state's budget must be balanced and stabilized, not only to protect our coveted AAA bond rating, but also to attract and retain new business and industry. 

How do we Bring North Carolina Together?  We must convince the legislature to find the right balance that restores fiscal stability without hurting education.  For only through education can we grow the sort of workplace that will make economic and job growth possible and sustainable.
